We thank fans for contributing to our fund since its relaunch last month and we reinforce Chief Executive Erik Samuelson’s call for supporters to keep getting behind it.

We Are Wimbledon Fund organiser Xavier Wiggins, said: “Since relaunching the campaign last month, we’ve had a positive response from supporters with existing donors pledging to continue their contributions, plus new sign-ups. We are sure that this contribution will be very useful for Neal’s playing budget as prepares AFC Wimbledon for the club’s second League One campaign. However, as Erik said in his news update, the club needs more investment to keep progressing. With a move back to Plough Lane having cleared another hurdle, it’s important that the club remains competitive in League One so that we can maximise our revenue at a new stadium. Fans can really help with this aim by continuing to support the We Are Wimbledon Fund and we thank all of you for backing it so far.”

We know that a large number of people read the e-mail that we asked Erik to send out. Many of those clicked onto the direct debit form, but then did not complete their donation. The main way for fans to contribute is via a direct debit form from this website. There is an option for supporters to make one-off payments via this form. In the section that says ‘Payment Schedule, where it asks for the ‘End’ date, simply select ‘Take certain number of debits’ and a new box will open to choose option 1.

If you intended to donate but didn’t finalise the process, we urge you to go back to the direct debit form and finish the process. Every penny counts with some great challenges ahead in the coming season.
